Both Sides has its full release today (3.3.17) on iTunes, Spotify, etc. Both Sides on iTunes
Here are the words…
Humanity/You make us wanna cry/With joy with sorrow/With sorrow with joy
Never better never worse/Never worse never better/Love battles hate, fear and greed/We’ll fight this good fight for eternity
A homogenised future world is feared/Feeding the Google click farm search brains/And we could be divided and ruled – by a Super rich genetically engineered elite
But ‘we’re far more united… Than the things that divide us’/Thank you. Rest in peace Mrs Cox/Love will overcome the evil world of ditty dots
The smart, super highway to hell/Could also lead to heaven as well/We’re sensitive, idiosyncratic/Not sorted in a matter of clicks
The Human condition, darkness and light/In equal measures through time doesn’t make this right:/The kindest, loving things; the worst attrocities/Seems to be what we do in humanity
Almost 2 years since the eventual release of Russian Spy this agent has now gone and infiltrated Bandcamp!
This is one of the first songs I wrote and it is as relevant -even more so today- than when I wrote it when I was 13 in January 79. Russian Spy can be streamed or downloaded here…
Both Sides was the name of our old band in the 1980s. We did have a song called Both Sides but it was never released. This is another song which I wrote recently about humanity and the human condition. I thought I’d stick it up on bandcamp so now there’s a Boz Hayward Bandcamp page. I will make it available for download elsewhere too from March 3rd. In these uncertain times and with a new ‘leader of the free world’ I thought it appropriate to release a version now. Old stalwart Rob Haynes is on drums and Karl Sweinsson did a good job mastering it. Click here.
SHORTSCORES, the bozchestra Video Jam album is now available to stream and buy via Bandcamp. The timing couldn’t be better – on the back of the follow-up instrumental scores album FILMS IN MUSIC and almost exactly on Video Jam’s 5th birthday – It’s already 5 years since the original bozchestra performance at the Video Jam launch event at Antwerp Mansion in Manchester (Jan 29th 2012). ‘Originally released on CD in 2013, Shortscores is the first body of work created soley for Video Jam to be recognised and released as an album. Boz has been associated with the Video Jam project (an ongoing series of unique experimental events that seek to explore and re-examine the relationship between moving image and sound) since it was conceived in 2011. From the launch at Antwerp Mansion in Manchester (29.01.12) onwards, bozchestra were invited to play at many early VJ events over the first two years. Boz wrote so much material it amassed an album! This was released originally in November 2013 as a CD. Now (from 17.1.17), it is released on the popular Bandcamp platform for streaming and purchasing. Enjoy.’

Films in Music is now available to stream and buy via Bandcamp. It seems like an important step to giving the album as much exposure as possible. Bandcamp is now a well-used platform giving people easy access to the music. SO HERE IT IS, FOLKS!
I have made a few cds up for people who don’t fancy downloading and want an artefact. They have all been individually handcrafted! You can get them at the legendary Piccadilly Records store in Manchester or order online via their website.Link to ‘Films in Music’ cd at Piccadilly Records
At last, Films in Music is now officially digitally released. You can buy it here… https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/films-in-music/id1140141723
Very pleased to announce that German Shepherd Records have teamed up with Bert Weill Productions to promote my work: the work of Boz Hayward and bozchestra. The first thing on the agenda is the new bozchestra album ‘Films in Music’ which is released on September 9th and is available now on iTunes and other download sites to pre-order.
